About the Event
Coaching with My Teachstone is an online professional development platform that allows participants access to modules, videos and resources related to high quality interactions as measured by the CLASS tool. Two different versions of Coaching with My Teachstone will be offered this year. In this series, participants will attend a one time virtual orientation on February 9th from 6:30-8:30 pm.
This is the 100% version of Coaching with MyTeachstone and one on one coaching will not be provided during this series. A limited number of spaces will be availible for our hybird Coaching with My Teachstone Model. Participants registered for the hybrid Coaching with My Teachstone series will particpant in the online professional development but will also receive some one on one in person or virtual coaching from a Virginia Quality Specialist. If you are interested in the hybird series please contact Hilari Devine at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration for the hybird series will be opening soon!
After orientation, all coursework will be completed wherever and whenever it works best for you. Participants will be provided a reccomended timeline but, there will not be any penalty for completing reccomended assignments at a later date. If you successfully complete all assignments by the end of the course (May 20th) participants willl receive a certificate for 5 professional development hours.
By participating in this professional development series, teachers will be able to deepen their understanding of teacher-child interactions as measured by the CLASS tool in a flexible format that is available whenever is it convenient for you!
Teachers will participate in a series of online professional development modules through the Coaching with My Teachstone® platform. The series will provide an overview of the Pre-K CLASS tool, video examples of each indicator and will provide you with the opportunity to connect with other pre-k professionals to develop creative solutions as you work to refine teacher-child interactions in your classroom.
All of the assignments will be assigned at the beginning of the course. We encourage you to follow the recommended course pacing but understand that teachers need professional development solutions that are available when it works best for you! So, as long as your course shows that you have completed each of the assignments by May 20th, 2022 you will still receive a certificate of completion.
In addition to participating in each of the assigned modules, it is expected that you will stay active in the comments section that is available underneath each module. It is recommended that you respond to the reflection question shown in the comments section for each module.
A CLASS® specialist will be available to support you through this professional development series by monitoring your progress, participating in the chat and is available for additional support via email. You can access further support by setting up a time to meet for a phone or Zoom session.

All assigned modules are due by May 20th, 2022. To receive a certificate for 5 professional development hours, all of the assignments must show as completed in your Teachstone® account by midnight on May 20th, 2022.
