Early childhood educators and leaders are in a position to support young children development of a strong sense of self and belonging. This third of a three-part series will support your understanding of the importance of creating early learning classroom communities that nurture and develop the identity of children. Participants will expand their knowledge on the importance of positive identity development as it pertains to children’s social and emotional well-being. Participants will also identify strategies using cultural awareness to build a positive identity in all children.
