Early Learning & Development Standards-"ELDS" (Lower Peninsula only)

Come learn about the new VA state standards for preschool. The Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS) is a research-based list of "skills and knowledge that children need to demonstrate by the end of preschool in order to be successful in kindergarten."   It is expected that all preschool programs will implement the use of these standards.  Join us to learn about the organization and contents of this document as well as the ways in which it can make you a more effective educator.

Participants interested in being part of one of our Preschool curriculum-based cohorts must attend this training prior to the beginning of the first cohort meeting. You will receive a copy of the ELDS at the time of the training.

NOTE: This is an in-person training.  Attendance is limited to centers on the Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York).  Centers in other locations should register for the Nov. 16th training.  Registration for the Nov. 16th training will close on Monday, Nov. 6th.  Registration for this (Nov. 9) training is now closed.
