About the Event
We are familiar with the saying “knowledge is power”. As early childhood educators, it is important to remember that information is power as well. Providing feedback to young children is a valuable tool early childhood teachers have in their tool belt. It allows for the expansion of a child’s understanding of concepts by keeping them engaged in higher-level thinking. This Power Hour will provide teachers with effective strategies on providing information in response to a child’s actions or comments. We will explore how providing added information during activities and lessons enhances the quality of your feedback and the quality of learning that takes place.
