About the Event
What is a Big Book? Well, it is a book that is BIG. The beauty of such a book is that it simulates the intimate book experience that children have during bedtime stories. Because the book is BIG, the children can all see the illustrations and the text very clearly. This both pulls them into the story and helps them connect to the basic elements of print.
Come to this training and learn techniques for using a big book with your children. Discover how you can promote basic literacy skills such as “concept of word,” tracking, letter and word recognition, and more.
It has been said that the big book experience is like sitting in the front row of a movie – the BIG, close-up view draws in the listener in a way that a small board book cannot. Get a front row seat for this fun training and go home with some free big books!
