FirstSpark is a nonprofit organization serving Virginia’s Greater Peninsula and Northern Neck that works alongside parents and educators by providing training, support programs and resources to ensure every child ages zero to five has access to the cognitive and social-emotional experiences that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. We are here to help make connections, engage with community leaders and advocate for the future of early childhood education.

Thank you for your interest in joining our team! FirstSpark is currently looking for qualified candidates for two positions:

Early Childhood Access Manager 

Do you have experience with Virginia’s new early childhood system of coordination for early childhood services? Can you help advance a more equitable system that engages families and the whole community to increase access to child care/early education? Do you have superior project management, facilitation, and supervisory skills? 

The Early Childhood Access Manager manages the implementation of three regional access initiatives: (1) Mixed Delivery, (2) Coordinated Enrollment and, (3) Family Engagement collaborating regularly with state and regional partners from parents, schools, Head Star,t and private early learning programs to identify needs and opportunities to increase equitable access to early childhood education on the Greater VA Peninsula and Northern Neck for Ready Region Chesapeake Bay (RRCB).
